Mr. Williams is a native of Ardmore, a graduate of Ardmore High School and a graduate of the University of Oklahoma. He holds a law degree from George Washington University and is a member of the District of Columbia, Oklahoma and Virginia Bar Associations.

A Viet Nam veteran helicopter pilot, Mr. Williams was honorably discharged from the United States Army in 1971, having attained the rank of Captain.

Mr. Williams has served trust customers since 1974 both at large metropolitan banks and smaller community banks. He has served as the head of a Trust Department continuously since 1983 except for a brief period of active law practice in 1995-1997.

In addition to serving on the Boards of several civic organizations, Mr. Williams has served as chairman of the Oklahoma Bankers Association Trust Committee, President of the Ardmore Rotary Club, President of Cross Timbers Hospice and Treasurer of both the Charles B Goddard Center for Visual and Performing Arts and the Greater Southwest historical Museum.
